Regenerative Market Gardening - 1 Day Workshop - Oct 3, 2024
In partnership with MU Extension Office!
Part of the Laclede County Commission Agriconomy Week 2024
On Thursday October 3rd, 2024
Invitation:
Join us for a day of hands-on, in the field learning, about growing veggies, herbs, flowers and fruits for the market with regenerative practices. Sun And Bloom Farms started growing for the market in 2021, and is selling their produce, herbs, flowers, some fruit and animal products via a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, at farmers’ markets, from their farm stand and buyers clubs. They also partner with other farmers that grow organically or beyond. They use regenerative soil practices and produce much of their natural fertilizers and pesticides on the farm. Regenerative practices go beyond organic and mean that no chemicals are used, soil and local healthy biodiversity are enhanced, and the focus is on building the resilience of the local ecosystems and food system, for generations to come.
